This tapestry is inspired from the paintings of Paul Cézanne, French painter, 1839-1906. Still lives keep a privileged place in Cézanne's work. He paints familiar objects, fruits, cups, glasses, tablecloths... which he laid out on a table. Their immobility let him go deeply into his art. His work on light, the composition, the relief and the prospect make him a precursor of the cubism. With these Still lives, the painter has been known all over the world.
